Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Services Covered

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all paid services offered by jourmuxy, including professional video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and the creation of reliable high-quality feeds for news programmes and television broadcasting. It covers one-time bookings, project-based engagements, and any recurring service arrangements. The policy explains how payments are handled, when contracts are formed, and the circumstances under which refunds may be issued. It is intended for customers located in the United Kingdom and is drafted in accordance with UK consumer law.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated. Prices include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Additional charges may arise for overtime, equipment hire, travel beyond agreed zones, or urgent turnaround requests. Any such extras will be confirmed in writing before they are incurred. Customers are responsible for any bank or currency conversion fees that their payment provider may apply.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

jourmuxy accepts payment by major credit and debit cards, bank transfer, and approved third-party payment platforms. Payment is authorised at the time of booking or upon receipt of invoice. Card details are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant gateways and are never stored on our systems. Authorisation holds may appear on statements until the transaction is completed or released.

Order Confirmation and Formation of Contract

A contract is formed when jourmuxy sends written confirmation of the booking or service order, following receipt of full or agreed deposit payment. Until that confirmation is issued, no binding agreement exists. Customers receive an email summary detailing the scope of work, dates, deliverables, and total cost. Any changes to the agreed scope require a new written confirmation.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Consumers in the United Kingdom have the right to cancel most distance contracts within 14 days of the contract being formed, provided the service has not begun. Where a service is scheduled to start within this cooling-off period, the right to cancel may be lost once performance has commenced with the customer’s agreement. Professional services booked for specific broadcast dates are often non-cancellable after confirmation because of scheduling commitments with third parties.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available where cancellation occurs within the statutory cooling-off period and before any work has started. Deposits paid to secure crew or facilities are non-refundable once committed. Custom content created to client specification, including live feeds already transmitted, is not eligible for refund. Promotional or discounted rates may carry separate terms that exclude refunds after a certain date.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, customers must email info@gravitymedia.com with the order reference, date of service, and a clear statement of the reason for cancellation. The request should include the customer’s full name, address, and contact telephone number. Requests received by post to 32-34 Greenhill Crescent, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD18 8JU, United Kingdom will also be accepted. Telephone requests to +44 20 3104 0000 must be followed by written confirmation within seven days.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of Decision

Refund requests are acknowledged within five working days. jourmuxy will review the request against the terms of this policy and the original service agreement. Customers will be notified of the outcome by email within fourteen days. If additional information is required, the review period may be extended. Rejected requests will include a clear explanation of the reason.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Approved refunds are returned using the original payment method wherever possible. Bank transfers are processed within ten working days of approval. Card refunds may take up to fifteen working days to appear on the customer’s statement, depending on the card issuer. Customers are advised to retain proof of the original transaction until funds are received.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Digital deliverables such as recorded feeds or edited packages are supplied electronically. Once the customer has downloaded or accessed the content, the right to cancel is generally lost. Subscription-style service retainers are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period. Promotional offers may state shorter cancellation windows; these terms are clearly displayed at the point of purchase.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

If a payment fails, the booking will be placed on hold and the customer notified. Duplicate charges are investigated and credited within seven working days once verified. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may result in temporary suspension of service until resolved. Any suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to the appropriate authorities and may lead to permanent refusal of service.

Mandatory Consumer Rights That Cannot Be Excluded

Nothing in this policy affects the statutory rights of UK consumers under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. These rights include the right to receive services with reasonable care and skill and the right to a refund where services are not provided as described.
